Flex-a-lite invented the Flex Fan and holds the patent for the first electric fan for the automotive aftermarket. Many scoff at the Flex a lite because you can do it on the cheap with a Ford Taurus fan but for me it was money well spent. If it were as easy and simple as converting to an electric fan to give a Jeep that much of a boost in fuel economy, since the EPA is constantly breathing down the necks of Jeep's management for better average fleet fuel economy, Jeep would have done that early in the TJ line.
